The Gospel

Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the GOSPEL which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

Genesis 2:7

Title:  The Lord God formed the man

The first time Adam opened his eyes, the first countenance he saw was that of God’s, and he worshipped him.

To worship God is to seek his face.  On a greater scale it involves taking care of the garden/creation, obeying God’s laws, honoring marriage and nurturing the family, meeting with God and enjoying his presence from day to day.

In worship we reflect God’s image, so only those who are worthy, made worthy by the death of the Lamb of God are called before his presence to look at his face as Adam did.
