The Gospel

Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the GOSPEL which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

Romans 1:18-32; Lev. 18:22; Lev. 20:13; Deut. 22:5

Title:  Homosexuality

When it comes to the subject of homosexuality, the Christian has no opinion but what the Word of God teaches and which is sanctioned by patterns in nature.

The sodomite must admit that even he/she was the result of a heterosexual relationship, and that a homosexual union is not viable in the sense that it cannot produce life.  If every union on this planet was of the same sex, the population would decrease immediately and life would cease to exist inside a century; whereas marriage would guarantee the continuation of life.

Homosexuality is a sin in the eyes of the Creator, and is so abominable to God that this transgression is already a judgment in itself, and where the offender is given over to the full course of his/her indecent acts, and receive in themselves the due penalty for their perversion.

But, as in the case of any other sin, those who would repent and believe the gospel would be cleansed of their sins and receive the gift of eternal life (1Cor. 6:11).

1 Corinthians 2:14

Title:  Spiritually discerned

The Bible was written for the people of God.

Across its pages is laid out the history of salvation; in every book the person of the Lord Jesus, the Christ.

Without its historical accounts, its pronouncements, its wisdom, its revelations permeating human society, we would fare no better than the beast of the field that is without understanding and meant only for slaughter.

Since we have the truth of God by his mercy, so we cannot boast of any special knowledge that is not accessible by faith, we have the utmost responsibility to live by its precepts by the enablement of the Holy Spirit.

Discernment of truth is best evidenced by the way we act, that people may believe and be saved.

John 1:36

Title: Look, the Lamb of God!

We must be able to surrender our identity to the purpose for which we had been chosen. We are no more significant than our ministry and the God who called us. The chapters of our calling would surely come to an end, but the story of salvation goes on. We must not hope to be remembered in the annals of the redeemed, but that the Lord Jesus would not be forgotten, His stature not diminished, in the hearts and minds of those who would follow Him, as we labor to point out the Lamb of God.

Matthew 6:21

Title: There your heart will be also

Both the rich and the poor, everyone treasures something in his heart, something he sets aside in the sanctuary of his mind, will, and emotions, and would have disparate outcomes, either to be destroyed by the processes of nature and human tendencies, or be preserved as a distinct attribute of the spiritual.

2 Chronicles 7:14

Title:  If my people

Christians desire blessings (material and physical) from God, instead of striving to be holy in our daily walk, judging ourselves in the Lord’s presence whenever we sin, and searching out God through prayer and worship.

Mere Christianity seeks what God can give in terms of earthly existence in accordance to the standard of the world, when the real and lasting blessing is God himself, specifically heeding his warnings and discipline because that speaks of genuine  sonship for those who turn from their sins in the face of God’s rebuke.
