The Gospel

Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the GOSPEL which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

Revelation 17:6

(Rev. 17:6; Rev. 14:8; Rev. 18:2)
Title: Drunken with the blood of the saints
The U.S.A. is Babylon the Great!
Mainstream Christianity may disagree with this reading from the book of Revelation, but the undeniable reality is that the persecution of the Christian church in what once was the "land of the free" has commenced and intensified under the baton of Mr. Barry Soetoro, aka B.H. Obama.
In the coming months comprising the remaining term of Mr. B.H. Obama, the (LGBT abomination and the Same-sex [union] abomination agendas) will be forced down the throats of Christian congregations, and those who will stand firm in defense of the Bible will suffer greatly: economic isolation, imprisonment, or even death.
The warning to the Christian is clear: Come out of Babylon [America]! (Jer. 51:6-9; Rev. 18:4)
NOTE: As a first line of defence, Christian congregations MUST indicate in their by-laws that their pastors/ministers are mandated to conduct wedding ceremonies only for registered members, and are mandated to hire office staff/workers from among the registered members exclusively.

Daniel 9:25-27

Title: And he shall confirm
(The Lord Jesus, the Messiah, will confirm a covenant with the Jews in [9:27])
The modern mainstream interpretation of (Dan. 9:25-27) hinges primarily on the anti-Christ, when the traditional view of the first part or (v.27) points to Messiah.
The word "confirm" in (v.27) is the Hebrew word "gabar" (H1396), which literally means "to put strength to something existing". Obviously, only God had a prior covenant with the Jews, and was confirmed by the Lord Jesus during his 3 1/2-year ministry which culminated in his sacrificial death on the cross, and also signalled the end of the law and the sacrificial system of the temple; although there was maintained, after the veil to the holy of holies had been torn in two, animal sacrifices that were already an abomination to God.
(v.27b, will destroy) destruction of the temple in AD 70.
(The remaining 3 1/2 years?) Points to 3 1/2 years of tribulation before the Parousia, the bodily return of the Lord Jesus at the end of this age.
Addendum:
A literal temple has to be in existence for these verses to go the way of an "anti-Christ" interpretation. At present there is none, and no temple will be built for two main reasons (and there could be more): The priesthood has been abolished, and we are now the temple of God.
(The Pre-Tribulation, Pre-Wrath Rapture Theories are a hoax!)

2 Thessalonians 2:3

Title: Man of lawlessness
Barry Soetoro (a.k.a. B.H. Obama), the resident in the White House, is the "man of lawlessness" in (2Thess. 2:3); and when finally the archangel Michael is taken out of the way (2Thess. 2:7; Daniel 12:1), Satan will enter B.H. Obama, as he did Judas (Luke 22:3), and Obama will commence to perform counterfeit miracles, signs and wonders (2Thess. 2:9-12).
(2Thess. 2:4) appears problematic because of the mystery surrounding God's temple, although it is doubtful that the apostle Paul was referring to a literal temple, since no Jew today could accurately trace his lineage to the tribe of Levi, which had the mandate to operate the tabernacle/temple (the library housing family records having been destroyed in 70 AD). May I, therefore, venture to suggest that the temple here referred to is a nation or a group of peoples whose foundation can be traced to the quest for the freedom to worship the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob: the U.S.A?
If so, the End of the Age is at the door.

Ezekiel ch. 38

Title: Hooks in Russia's jaws
(Russia, together with a host of nations, will nuke the U.S. and destroy it in one day, even in one hour)
What is happening now worldwide is the fulfillment of Bible prophecy in overdrive, and particularly at the forefront is Russia, whose economy is being battered by U.S.-led sanctions, the hooks that will force Putin to attack mainland U.S.A. with tactical nuclear weapons; and since the majority of American troops are deployed in other countries fighting useless wars, the U.S doesn't stand a chance against Russia, China, and Iran.
And this prophecy being fulfilled inside B.H. Obama's remaining years in office (2015-16) is almost a certainty.
The clarion call is distinct and clear: Christians, come out of the U.S. while there is still time, for the doors will be shut and no one shall escape (Jer. 51:6-9; Rev. 18:4,5)
(And the Pre-Tribulation, Pre-Wrath Rapture Theories are a hoax!)

Revelation 14:8

(Rev. 14:8; Jer. 51:6-9; Rev. 18:4)
Title: Fallen is Babylon the Great

America has fallen!
The U.S.A. will not survive the remaining term of B.H. Obama (2015-16), now that the hooks of economic sanctions are firmly attached into Russia's jaws (Eze. ch. 38). B.H. Obama has finally revealed himself as the "man of lawlessness" by his total disregard for the U.S. Constitution and the Congress; and yet America will not repent of her sins (2Thess. 2:11).
America has chosen a king over God and His righteousness when it elected B.H. Obama, and judgment, on that day, descended upon America
Oh, Christian brethren, come out of America! ObamaCare is the "mark of the beast"! Pray for guidance and wisdom in the coming weeks (as of this writing, Dec. 2014), the coming months. God will show you the way if you would only watch and pray (Luke 21:36).
[And the Pre-Tribulation, Pre-Wrath Rapture Theories are a hoax!]

Romans 8:38

Title: I am convinced

Freedom from fear of the unknown is attained by the consciousness, as the mind progresses from self-righteousness to imputed righteousness. The mystery of the victory of eternal life over the aftermath of sin is revealed in the surety of the experience of the resurrection and the underlying comfort and peace which the Holy Spirit has sealed onto the spirit of the Christian. The worst of the world can no longer deny us the best of eternity.

John 1:1

Title:  In the beginning was the Word

The Big Bang Theory engenders more questions than explanations to the subject that has puzzled the heathen since the time man chose himself over God or stopped believing in God altogether: the origin of the universe.

At first glance, the quest may seem legitimate, but actually starts with the wrong foot.  Origin necessitates a maker, for the simple reason that nothing can create itself; there has to be an outside entity that would cause something into existence.

At this point may we ask the Big Bang Theory advocate where the elements that surround the concept originate: space, time, matter, energy?

Actually a ten dollar Bible would have told the pseudo-scientist that the universe had no physical origin:  The universe started with God and was spoken into being by his Word.  The origin of the cosmos is spiritual; and true to form, scientific investigation could not come up with the building-block or the essence of matter, because matter was created out of nothing according to the Scriptures.

God through the Lord Jesus created all things, and unless scientists and philosophers confess the Creator, they will always come up with theories that are laughable and generate more questions than answers.

John 21:22

Title:  If I will that he tarry till I come

If the Lord Jesus was not Deity, his claim to authority over life and death was nothing short of high-minded arrogance and blasphemy.  If the Lord Jesus was not God in the flesh, his assertion to possessing the prerogative of the Father was irreverence and an outright lie.

The Lord Jesus was God.  Every person who has been born from above knows that the Lord Jesus is God by the Holy Spirit dwelling in him.

The Lord Jesus being God was the purpose, sustainer, and summation of his life and ministry.  If he was merely a man, he had no business determining the termination of physical life, let alone provide for eternal life.

1 Thessalonians 4:15

Title:  Unto the coming of the Lord

Adam Clarke (Adam Clarke Commentary, published 1810-1826) argues against the Pre-Tribulation Rapture Theory

Was the Pre-Tribulation Rapture Theory a prevalent and accepted teaching prior to 1830?

In consideration of the Commentary and Critical Notes by Adam Clarke which was completed in 1826, I beg to contend to the contrary.  Clarke, in his notes on (1 Thess. 4:15) saw the Second Coming of the Lord Jesus, that “We may suppose that the judgment will now be set, and the books opened, and the dead judged out of the things written in those books.”

How in the world did a Bible commentator of Clarke’s caliber and scholarship fail to mention a Pre-Tribulation Rapture event in conjunction with (1 Thess. 4:13-18)?  The answer is simple: he did not fail, because prior to 1830, when the false Pre-Tribulation Rapture Doctrine came out of Scotland, it was unknown among the churches and in Christian literature.

Clarke was justified in interpreting (1 Thess. 4:13-18) as the Second Coming of the Lord Jesus, and not a snatching away of the church seven years prior to the Second Coming.

John 3:16

Title:  Perish

Although we joyfully quote this verse in reference to assurance of eternal life, in my estimation it is the most frightful statement in all of Scriptures, in view of the fate of those who would not place their confidence or entrust their spiritual well-being to the life, death, and resurrection of the Lord Jesus.

That final destination is total destruction and full separation from God, signaled by death and with finality and from which there is no escape or second chances.

Yes, the good message is eternal life, but occupying the same stage is a dire warning to those who would not heed to the invitation from God who sent his Son to save sinners who would repent and believe; an awful state of interminable condemnation/ punishment to those who would neglect so great salvation.

Ecclesiastes 12:13

Title:  Fear God

I pray that we would not wait to the end of our lives to come to the conclusion that life is about God, not us. Not all suppositions are the result or summary of a process, but can be a formulation by which the whole course of action is guided. Let us look at life as a seamless piece of cloth from start to end, where its dawning is not independent of the closing stages of dusk.

Psalm 23:5

Title:  A table

We may venture to conclude that the table the Shepherd arrays here for the sheep who listen to his voice is not an ordinary one, but an opulent feast fit for a king and afforded with all the bounty and righteousness that would satisfy body and soul to the point of overflowing, in an atmosphere of tranquility and security in the midst of their enemies, and in fellowship with the Lord throughout the years.

Note:
For a picture of a king’s table, we may refer to (1 Kings 4:22,23), listing the daily provisions of Solomon:
185 bushels of fine flour
375 bushels of meal
10 heads of stall-fed cattle
20 heads of pasture-fed cattle
100 sheep and goats
as well as deer, gazelles, roebucks, and choice fowl

2 Thessalonians 2:3

Title:  Until the apostasy occurs

The Nelson Illustrated Dictionary of the Bible defines “apostasy” as:  the determined, willful rejection of Jesus and His teachings by a Christian believer; a falling away from the faith.”

While one school of thought reads this verse as Christians leaving established congregations because of unbelief, it is more likely describing the condition of the church near the End of the Age, where it will have an outward semblance to Christianity, however rejecting the Bible as authoritative, as the ONLY framework and guide in Christian living, social life, and government.

Take into consideration the silence of many pulpits against the sins of sodomy, same-sex union/abomination, and abortion, to mention a few of the moral subjects intriguing societies and governments today.  Before the onslaught of the promotion of abomination in all sectors of humanity, the church seeks to be politically correct and inoffensive in its message, teaching philosophies of men rather than heralding “thus says the Lord.”

To this effect, we must remember that the Word of God will always be a stumbling block to those who are perishing.  To cater to the determination of this evil generation that speaking against sodomy, same-sex union/abomination, abortion, and a host of other sins against the Holy God of the Bible is “hate speech,” is synonymous to apostasy, a rejection of Jesus and His teachings.

We are there now.

Romans 13:12

Title:  The night is far spent

Nearest dawn, darkness is deepest.

The night, no matter how long in the timeline of God’s longsuffering patience, is almost over.  Punishment is assured for those who do not know the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and who do not obey the gospel of the Lord Jesus, the Christ, but to the Christian who reveres the name of the Lord Almighty, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings, to give comfort to those who now weep and mourn and suffer for righteousness’ sake.

Time is no longer of the essence since everything had been written and accomplished to appease the wrath of God on Calvary and so brought peace between the Lord and his people, while the sins of those who rebel against the divine rule of the Creator God have reached his hearing and his countenance.

Reward and punishment, these are at the doors.

John 3:29

Title: That joy is mine

Nothing is more exceedingly joyful than to fill our cup of service to the Lord without the pomp and tribute of praise, with no happy fairy-tale ending, where the curtain might even close upon a scene of tragic death.

The aspect of anonymity makes the task as personal as walking with the Lord to the place of sacrifice, where invariably his footsteps become our footsteps, and his joy becomes ours.

Proverbs 1:7

Title:  Beginning of knowledge

A loving reverence of the Lord is the primary element of knowledge; it is the first thing in knowledge.  It must be found at the beginning and at the end of the quest for understanding or man will remain morally deficient, unable to attain to wisdom.

Wisdom achieved by giving heed to God’s instructions and discipline glorifies the Lord Jesus because he is the wisdom of the Father.

The fool only has himself to exalt.

Genesis 1:26

Title: In our image

We live from a purpose.

We do not live to find a purpose and meaning in life.

It is for a reason that we commence our pilgrimage on earth. We are not some purposeless genetic material seeking random relevance along the way. Purpose is a code stamped into our being in and even before conception, and that purpose is to reflect the image of God and to take care of creation; in short, to worship Him with all our being.

Job 26:14

Title:  Whisper

How inadequate our understanding of God is!

His visible and invisible qualities -- his eternal power and divine nature -- which are well defined in creation are but a faint glimpse of his splendor.  Even the destruction of the devil will require only the periphery of his power.

In our lowly state, we have no right to question his objective since we can only perceive the faintest of whispers of his thunderous might, and we are confronted with a mystery so overwhelming we can only inquire of God for understanding.

Through faith and experientially we know that God is sovereign, and it would be pointless to worship him if he is not.

Romans 1:18-32; Lev. 18:22; Lev. 20:13; Deut. 22:5

Title:  Homosexuality

When it comes to the subject of homosexuality, the Christian has no opinion but what the Word of God teaches and which is sanctioned by patterns in nature.

The sodomite must admit that even he/she was the result of a heterosexual relationship, and that a homosexual union is not viable in the sense that it cannot produce life.  If every union on this planet was of the same sex, the population would decrease immediately and life would cease to exist inside a century; whereas marriage would guarantee the continuation of life.

Homosexuality is a sin in the eyes of the Creator, and is so abominable to God that this transgression is already a judgment in itself, and where the offender is given over to the full course of his/her indecent acts, and receive in themselves the due penalty for their perversion.

But, as in the case of any other sin, those who would repent and believe the gospel would be cleansed of their sins and receive the gift of eternal life (1Cor. 6:11).

1 Corinthians 2:14

Title:  Spiritually discerned

The Bible was written for the people of God.

Across its pages is laid out the history of salvation; in every book the person of the Lord Jesus, the Christ.

Without its historical accounts, its pronouncements, its wisdom, its revelations permeating human society, we would fare no better than the beast of the field that is without understanding and meant only for slaughter.

Since we have the truth of God by his mercy, so we cannot boast of any special knowledge that is not accessible by faith, we have the utmost responsibility to live by its precepts by the enablement of the Holy Spirit.

Discernment of truth is best evidenced by the way we act, that people may believe and be saved.

John 1:36

Title: Look, the Lamb of God!

We must be able to surrender our identity to the purpose for which we had been chosen. We are no more significant than our ministry and the God who called us. The chapters of our calling would surely come to an end, but the story of salvation goes on. We must not hope to be remembered in the annals of the redeemed, but that the Lord Jesus would not be forgotten, His stature not diminished, in the hearts and minds of those who would follow Him, as we labor to point out the Lamb of God.

Matthew 6:21

Title: There your heart will be also

Both the rich and the poor, everyone treasures something in his heart, something he sets aside in the sanctuary of his mind, will, and emotions, and would have disparate outcomes, either to be destroyed by the processes of nature and human tendencies, or be preserved as a distinct attribute of the spiritual.

2 Chronicles 7:14

Title:  If my people

Christians desire blessings (material and physical) from God, instead of striving to be holy in our daily walk, judging ourselves in the Lord’s presence whenever we sin, and searching out God through prayer and worship.

Mere Christianity seeks what God can give in terms of earthly existence in accordance to the standard of the world, when the real and lasting blessing is God himself, specifically heeding his warnings and discipline because that speaks of genuine  sonship for those who turn from their sins in the face of God’s rebuke.

(Note:  This verse is national in application)

Romans 1:16

Title: The power of God

The gospel needs no embellishment or come-on to make it attractive and palatable because it is not a commodity up for sale to begin with. The power of God unto salvation can stand on its own w
ithout the puny gimmicks that really water down the good news for the sin of man that would condemn him to an eternity of shame and contempt.

All the gospel requires is a clean heart and a mouthpiece that would speak the truth in love and in all humility. Salvation is in God’s hands by the conviction of the Holy Spirit, and cannot be advanced even if someone were to rise from the dead.

1 Corinthians 6:20

Title: Bought at a price

“Paid in Full,” as Christians claim, referring to our deliverance from the marketplace of sin by payment of a price which is the life, death, and resurrection of the Lord Jesus.

And what else is within the scope of this purchase?

Can we venture to say that our good works, the sacrifices, the dangers we face for the sake of the gospel have also been paid for that we cannot boast of and glory in them?

In the Christian economy, there is no place for self-promotion. Let us not forget that the Son of God died that we might inherit eternal life, and that life is God’s and must be lived for the Lord’s pleasure and glory alone.

Ecclesiastes 12:1

Title: In the days of your youth

How else can a child know God, his laws and statutes, his mighty hand, if not for the parents dedicating their offspring to the service of the Lord, while their hearts are yet tender and they are most inclined to absorb information, by instructing them on the Word, from the time they take their first steps to the age of puberty, and beyond if given the opportunity?

Children who have been taught by their parents to reverence and fear the Lord are most likely to believe the gospel and persevere in times of trials and persecution.

1 Peter 3:15

Title:  Always be prepared

The context here, clearly, is suffering for righteousness; this is not an ordinary debate wherein a Christian ought to defend the faith.  This is an exhortation to answer while undergoing suffering in the hands of persecutors who would be amazed at the constancy of those who love God and carry in their bodies the testimony of the Lord Jesus, when threatened with loss of liberty and property, even death for the sake of the gospel.

Philippians 4:19

Title: And my God shall supply all your need

As we act to help others in their times of need, there is added into our accounts a promise guaranteed by the fullness of God, and resounded in the prayers of the recipient of the aid, that should we decline to a status of want, that the Lord, in view of His eternal riches, would open doors and raise up people who would provide our needs.

Luke 2:9

Title: And the glory of the Lord

We cannot claim honor and praise as preachers of the gospel. Our lives are mere representative of the glory of the Lord when announcing the good news to those whom God has chosen unto salvation, and will remain as such until our tenure on earth is over.

This is the only way by which the truth of God will be able to illuminate the darkness in and around mankind, if our own significance remains in the insignificant.

1 Timothy 6:18

Title: To be generous and willing to share

When we are ready to impart our riches beyond the confines of our homes, when we are willing to share with the poor, in fellowship with them, what we ourselves can use, in a manner that reveals proof to our knowledge and possession of the world to come, then our riches and possessions have truly come to us as blessings, and will depart in the same way.

Interchange

The whole year long
there are more private day
than we could covet
or let go
in public places,

but love
is the only sure way
out of our selves
and into each other.

Canticle

The time is a May morning,
the dew still in the grass,
never too early to start
over again,
and with the passing of days
and years
measure what we’ve lost
by a yardstick of what
we shall gain,
as love connects us
without missing a beat,
a rhyme,
a chance to go on caring
till we reach the borders
of our lives.

Waltz

Morning was nature’s dance
when once
I taught you
how to run
up and down
my summer hill.
Not unlike the movements
in a concerto,
I have memorized each step,
each turn,
where the grass ends
and where the sky begins,
all the way to the summit
and back.
Trust me with
your solemn time,
believing that I would
treasure it
as I do our time together
on our summer hill.

Colossians 1:17

Title: And in him all things hold together

Let us not induce ourselves to believe that God’s creation is something that could be likened to anything we have produced with our hands. While man can make and then leave, God could not have just created and left because the universe relies on the power of the Creator in order to continue existing. To be generated out of nothing, by a mere command, requires the persistent resonance of the Word spoken. Before anything else and to that degree we are to depend on God and be conscious of Him.

Hebrews 4:12

Title: Sharper than any double-edged sword

God’s truth must cut deep into the most secret recesses of our souls first before it can be an effective weapon in our hands. It must remain embedded in our minds and moral fiber and in our manners, a sweet but fearsome revelation in serving and accomplishing the purposes of the Lord.

Taking Our Time

One day
leads to another,
so we’ll not respect
too many boundaries
or landmarks
of rain and sunshine
on our trips
up chocolate hills
down green meadows,

taking our time
to be

what we could not have been
yesterday

or become
tomorrow.

Uncharted

I will miss you
even
before
you
are
gone.

John 4:34

Title: My food

While most people appreciate food for its appearance, aroma, texture, and flavor, and when we also consider it as a source of energy and pleasure, and a time of rest and fellowship when partaking of it with family or friends, the Christian derives the same in his dedication to fulfill the task God has ordained for him to accomplish.

And the task of announcing the good news of salvation in Jesus, the Christ, would not wait, in the same manner that the body would have to be nourished with such frequency and urgency day after day.

Ecclesiastes 4:4

Title: A chasing after the wind

We know that life is a vapor, without definite shape or assurance of tenure, but it doesn’t have to be meaningless as it is short.

We can be certain to give it character in nobility of purpose, and depth by acting uprightly and properly in the world. And to accomplish this, we have to achieve based on the principle of the good of the other, not on envious surpassing of one by the other which is a worthless expenditure of the breath of life itself.

Revelation 13:16

Title:  To receive a mark

It would be aesthetically inappropriate for a mark to be tattooed on or a chip to be implanted in prominent parts of the body, but what the verse might be pointing to are the two major segments of society: those who use their intellect (head) and those who do manual labor (hand), and each of us fall in one sector or the other.

One potential agenda in accomplishing total control over the population is through health-care initiative, as we see now being forced down the throats of the American people by a legislated Affordable Healthcare Act, a.k.a. Obamacare.

Everyone must enroll or be penalized for not doing so, and someday might not be allowed to buy or sell also.

Friday, January 10, 2014

Genesis 1:27; Romans 1:18-32

Title:  Male and female

Sodomy and lesbianism are not gender issues, since gender is the distinction of sex, and sex is (either of the two divisions into which persons, animals, and plants are divided according to reproductive function; male or female – Websters’ Dictionary).

It is clear in the pattern we see in nature, in human beings, in animal and plant life, that there are only male and female to propagate life, and if homosexuality were the norm among human beings, animals, and plants, life would cease to exist in merely twenty years.

Homosexuality is a sin issue, and has to be addressed through repentance toward God and trust in the Lord Jesus, or the offender would surely perish with no way of escape.
