The Gospel

Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the GOSPEL which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

James 1:5

Title:  If any of you lacks wisdom

We need wisdom whenever we face trials of many kinds; and our wisdom will certainly fail to show us the joyful end to each testing, so it is imperative to ask God who will grant it generously to those who ask for it.

Wisdom from the Lord doesn’t dampen the severity of trials or even turn them into joyful occasions; wisdom allows us to see the benefits of the ordeal despite its harshness: that of our purification and strengthening and growth, not to mention the testimony of our perseverance to others.
