The Gospel

Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the GOSPEL which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

James 1:2

Title:  Consider it pure joy

Christians can consider it pure delight when faced with adversity that breaks the calm and tranquility in life because of what we know trials can bring about in burning away the dross in our character.

And what do we know?  We know that we and our faith are being refined.  We know that we’ve had to suffer for but a short while.  We know that all things work together for good to those who love God.  We know that nothing can separate us from the love of God in the Lord Jesus.  We know our eternal destiny.

What we know about God’s love for his children far outweigh what we don’t know about trials and tribulations.
