The Gospel

Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the GOSPEL which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

DELIGHT THYSELF IN THE LORD AND HE WILL GIVE YOU THE DESIRES OF YOUR HEART? (PSA. 37:4)

What does this statement mean, really?
Does this mean that if we would just “rejoice in the Lord that He would give us whatever we want”?
No, that is not what this verse means.
According to the Written Word of God, the Bible, “DELIGHT” means to be soft or pliable before God, being trainable before Him, seeking His will, finding our happiness/joy in God, in His perfections, His words, His commandments and statutes.
And what would be the desires of our hearts BUT TO SEEK HIS PERFECT WILL FOR OUR LIVES!
This would come as God molds us to become more and more like the Lord Jesus, whose desire while He was on earth was not to do His will, but to accomplish the Father’s will.
Are we ready and willing to be molded by the Lord?

Delight thyself also in the LORD: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
