Title: The night is far spent
Nearest dawn, darkness is deepest.
The night, no matter how
long in the timeline of God’s longsuffering patience, is almost over. Punishment is assured for those who do
not know the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and who do not obey the gospel of
the Lord Jesus, the Christ, but to the Christian who reveres the name of the
Lord Almighty, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings, to
give comfort to those who now weep and mourn and suffer for righteousness’
sake.
Time is no longer of the
essence since everything had been written and accomplished to appease the wrath
of God on Calvary and so brought peace between the Lord and his people, while
the sins of those who rebel against the divine rule of the Creator God have
reached his hearing and his countenance.
