The Gospel

Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the GOSPEL which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

Isaiah 2:4

Title:  He will judge between the nations

It is an exercise in futility to pray for peace, for there can be no peace unless the Lord Jesus returns to earth at the end of this age to restore all things to their former state (Acts 3:21).

(Isa. 2:4) is actually quoted on a granite staircase at the United Nations Plaza, but in a manner eliminating God and making the campaign for world peace wholly of human effort.  What arrogance!

Man cannot attain to peace because he is either ignorant of the truth or cannot accept in his heart that tranquility between and among nations can only be achieved under the kingship of the Sovereign God, the God man has succeeded in banishing from the public square.
