The Gospel

Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the GOSPEL which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

Title: I cannot boast

We cannot boast of sharing the good news which had been instrumental in our own redemption; we are not above it.

If we be lifted up to the point of garnering renown and privileges in the body of believers, it just goes to show that we do not fully understand the gospel or the heart of God.

The gospel, like the law, pictures our helplessness to escape the snare of sin, if not for the sacrificial offering of the Son of God, who should receive all the glory and honor now and forever.
