Title: It is the gift of God
Gift of salvation,
Forever mine,
Perennial, when the thundering voice
From cradle to grave is the clamor
For change.
Free, abounding, flowing graciously
From the foot of the Cross,
Poured upon the dross
Of my wretched soul, and I inherit the glory
Of the heavenlies
While earthbound, expectant,
Assured, looking beyond the visions of
Prophecy.
Immortal I am
In the life of Christ,
Whose crown bedecks
Heaven
With saints in garments pure.
Joy of salvation,
In me, mine
Bright in times of conflict,
From age to age,
Up and down the heights
And depths of victory and defeat,
Timeless in the path of the ancient
And the wisdom of years.
Joy of salvation
Share I, by faith,
With each, with all
Who have heard the call
Of the Shepherd who loved us most.
Brothers all,
Called Christian in the
Name of the Lamb,
Kept secured
And sealed with a covenant
Of Love and Promise.
Gift of salvation
Eternally mine
Because I am Christ’s
Because of Christ.
