How inadequate our
understanding of God is!
His visible and invisible
qualities -- his eternal power and divine nature -- which are well defined in
creation are but a faint glimpse of his splendor. Even the destruction of
the devil will require only the periphery of his power.
In our lowly state, we
have no right to question his objective since we can only perceive the faintest
of whispers of his thunderous might, and we are confronted with a mystery so
overwhelming we can only inquire of God for understanding.
Through faith and
experientially we know that God is sovereign, and it would be pointless to
worship him if he is not.
