Now the Bible is really gonna offend them so-called Christians and Pastors who don’t read their Bibles!
IT IS EASIER FOR A CAMEL TO PASS THROUGH THE EYE OF A NEEDLE THAN FOR A RICH MAN TO ENTER THE KINGDOM OF GOD, my Bible says. And I do hope your Bible says the same thing.
Now if a camel can pass through the eye of a needle, my Bible is wrong and God is wrong! But God is never wrong; the Lord Jesus is truth!
The disciples understood what the Lord Jesus was saying, when they asked him: “WHO THEN CAN BE SAVED?” They understood that the Lord Jesus just said in their hearing that “NO RICH MAN WILL BE SAVED,” and the occasion for their question.
Oh, but the rich man can still be saved, according to the Lord Jesus (Matt.19:26) supernaturally, as God compels them to “SELL THEIR POSSESSIONS AND GIVE TO THE POOR” (Matt.19:21).
Unless the rich man recognizes that God owns everything, and He wants everything that He owns to be used for His glory; for the service of the Gospel, and for the edification of the Church, and for the aid of deserving Christians who are in need, that he would sell everything that he has, beyond the satisfaction of his and his family’s needs, HE WILL NOT BE SAVED!
OUR MONEY IS NOT OUR OWN!
IT IS THE LORD’S, EVEN TAKING OUT THE 10%!
That’s simply Bible, folks.
The standards of God cannot and will not change.
[Note: To those who would argue that there was a gate at the walls of Jerusalem big enough to accomodate a camel, this comment is worth considering:
(Actually, according to the Book of Nehemiah, there was NO GATE CALLED THE EYE OF THE NEEDLE. Jesus was literally saying that the rich will not go to Heaven. There is no such gate listed in the Bible, and there is no way possible that any merchant would unload his goods from a camel, as that would make them easy to steal, right before he got into the city. 28 Jesus said to them, “Truly I tell you, at the renewal of all things, when the Son of Man sits on his glorious throne, you who have followed me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. 29 And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or fields for my sake will receive a hundred times as much and will inherit eternal life. 30 But many who are first will be last, and many who are last will be first.]
